How YarnMargin handles local app data, license metadata and payment processing.

YarnMargin is designed as a local-first application. Pricing inputs, saved projects, orders, sales, product stock and yarn inventory are stored in your browser on your device during normal use. YarnMargin does not upload that crochet-business data to its own server.

License and access data

When Pro is activated or revalidated, YarnMargin sends the license key and a randomly generated device identifier to the YarnMargin license endpoint. The server uses Lemon Squeezy to validate access. YarnMargin stores one-way hashes of the license key and device identifier, plus activation metadata such as the Lemon Squeezy license ID, instance ID, status and validation timestamps.

Payments

Payments and billing are processed by Lemon Squeezy. YarnMargin does not receive or store full payment-card details.

Local data and deletion

You can remove local YarnMargin data with Reset in Settings or by clearing browser storage. You can export a local backup before doing so. Device access can be deactivated in the Pro management screen.

Purpose

License metadata is used for software access, device limits, fraud prevention, security and support. Technical hosting providers may process request metadata needed to deliver the service.
